This New Smartwatch Lets Reply You To Texts With Your Voice
An old-school wristwatch can often seem like an outdated invention in the age of the smartphone. But modern technology has put its own spin on the classic timepiece to fit into our fast-paced, Internet-driven lifestyles in the form of the smartwatch. Like a phone, a smartwatch can be a handy, indispensible companion as you go about life, helping you keep track of your schedule and making mundane daily tasks much easier. If you don't have one yet, we recently got to check out a new smartwatch perfect for those of you trying to balance their lifestyle between work and wellbeing: Fitbit just released the latest iteration of their popular fitness tracker, the Versa 2. It's got a bunch of cool features that can help alleviate many of your daily struggles.
The Versa 2 comes in a rounded-square shape with an AMOLED screen that's 10% larger than the original version, making the display more ergonomic and friendlier to the visually challenged. But don't worry, the watch's slim construction will keep it looking stylish and it will go with both your casual and work-ready outfits.
in several pretty colors? Plus, it's got interchangeable straps with several designs to choose from so you can mix and match as you please.
Take a peek at some of the styles you can cop:
Now that we've got your attention with the watch's stylish design, allow us to show you what this jam-packed device can do. The Versa 2 is an update on their original Versa watch, retaining many of the latter's features, and adding in some cool new ones. Just like its predecessor, the Versa 2 can keep track of your steps, calories, quality and hours of sleep, swim laps (yup, it's waterproof!), menstrual cycle, heart rate, and more. It can also alert you whenever you get notifications on your phone like e-mails and calendar alerts, so you can glance at your wrist to stay up-to-date without having to pick up your phone every time.
A brand-new feature that'll get you excited is its voice reply to text messages capability which lets you use dictation to reply to texts straight from your watch, so you won't even need to pick up your phone if you need to answer urgent messages on-the-go. The feature is currently only available for Android phones, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that all phones and operating systems will be able to have it soon.
The Versa 2 also has a new sleep score feature which basically "grades" your sleeping habits, helping you understand the overall quality of your sleeping patterns over time. That way, you can improve them and learn how to incorporate more rest into your life. And before you ask, yes, you can wear it on your wrist all night because the Versa 2 promises four to six days of battery life on a full charge.
For your waking hours, in case you'd prefer to have the screen on all the time, instead of having it light up only when you flip your wrist, it has a new always-on display mode that lets you leave the screen on all day. Just keep in mind that this will naturally affect that battery's lasting power, but even with the screen on, the Versa 2 can stay on for up to two days. Plus, you can choose from hundreds of clock faces so you can pick which one you like best and change it depending on your mood!
The Fitbit Versa 2 is available online and at Digital Walker. Prices start at P12,890.
